Tracee J. Swank

Tracee J. Swank serves as the leader of Church Doctor Ministries, and is a certified Church Doctor consultant and leadership coach. Tracee is committed to helping local churches and ministry organizations discover their purpose and mission in the communities they serve. Tracee is passionate about resourcing and releasing Christian leaders to help fulfill the Great Commission through coaching, consulting, and teaching. Tracee leads the ministry staff team, supervises the training and development of Church Doctor Coaches and Consultants, and oversees the advancement of the mission of the ministry. Tracee has an undergraduate degree in organization development from the University of Toledo. She received a master’s degree in Theological Studies and Spiritual Formation from the Winebrenner Theological Seminary. Tracee’s spare time is usually filled with reading, writing, and studying trends in Christianity. When not traveling for ministry work, she can be found in her kitchen adapting and trying new recipes or outside vegetable gardening. She lives in northwest Ohio with her husband, Matt, and their black lab, Jimmie. Together, Tracee and Matt (and Jimmie) train assistance dogs for Assistance Dogs of America.

Kent R. Hunter

Kent R. Hunter is the founder of Church Doctor Ministries. He has served as a pastor in Michigan, Indiana, and South Australia. In the past 35 years, Kent has consulted more than 1,400 churches from 65 denominations, fellowships, and movements. Kent is the architect of Healthy Churches Thrive!: a 36-month spiritual adventure to prepare churches for the coming revival, and SEND North America: a training experience to equip young adults to be missionaries to their culture. Kent received his Ph.D. from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and the D.Min degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California. He is the author of 30 books on the subject of church health, vitality, and the effectiveness of the church. His next book: “Who Broke My Church? Proven Strategies for Renewal and Revival.” Kent says his reason for being on this earth is to help Christians and churches become more effective for the Great Commission, to make disciples of all peoples. He recognizes that America is the third largest mission field in the world (behind China and India). His passion is to come alongside pastors and church leaders to provide encouragement, direction, and focus and turn challenges into opportunities for mission through the local church. Kent lives on a certified tree farm in northeast Indiana with his wife, Janet. Kent and Janet have two grown children, Laura and Jon.

Rev. Alan B. Chandler

Alan B.  Chandler serves as the Consultation and Client Services Team leader of Church Doctor Ministries and is a certified Church Doctor consultant. He is ordained in the Free Methodist Church USA and has served in a variety of ministry positions in Southern California, Colorado, and Iowa.

Alan’s calling and passion is helping Christians experience revival in their personal lives, churches, and communities. Through Church Doctor Ministries, Alan has had the opportunity to participate in Immersion Excursions to England and Hot Springs, Arkansas. Being in the middle of these active revivals has made a significant impact on his passion for ministry.

Alan lives in Southern California with his wife, Cheryl. They’ve been married 30 years and have two adult children, Rachel and Andrew. They also recently welcomed their new daughter-in-law, Hannah, into the family. In their downtime, Alan and Cheryl like to take day trips to one of the many great locations in Southern California.

Dr. Rupert Loyd Jr.

Rupert Loyd Jr. has over 30 years of experience as a pastor in the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He holds a Ph.D. in Leadership and has contributed to Shriberg & Shriberg’s Practicing Leadership (a university textbook). His writings on leadership have been presented at Oxford University, Oxford, England, and at the International Leadership Association in Prague, Czech Republic, among other places. He currently serves as Associate Pastor at Mayfair-Plymouth Congregational Church and as adjunct faculty for Indiana Wesleyan University.

Rupert and his wife Amy reside in Toledo, Ohio. They have four children: Jessica, Kathleen, David and Scott.

Dr. Barry Kolb

Prior to entering the pastoral ministry, Dr. Kolb served as a teacher and coach in Indiana, Illinois, and Hong Kong for 20 years.  Since becoming a pastor, he has served five different churches in Illinois and Texas. He has earned three Master’s degrees and a Doctorate. He has also taught in Russia, Kazakhstan, India, South Africa, Nigeria, Botswana, Jamaica, Thailand, Brazil and Haiti.

In addition, Barry serves as:

  • A field consultant for Church Doctor Ministries 
  • Workshop teacher for inmate pastors for 13 years at the largest maximum security prison in America, Louisiana State Prison in Angola, LA, using Crossways materials (Biblical Timeline, See Through the Scriptures, Divine Drama, and various short courses).
  • Vice President of Christ for India (org). He has led pastor’s conferences, taught seminary courses, and preached extensively in India on many occasions.
  • President of India Missions Foundation.

Barry and his wife Nancy have two grown children: Eric (Sheryl) & Terri and one grandson: Joshua (Kristina) all who live the Dallas/Ft Worth area. His personal mission statement is: See the VISION…Live the MISSION…Feel the PASSION. Barry’s life verse is: Proverbs 3:5-6.

Dr. Christine A. (Chrysanne) Timm

Christine A. (Chrysanne) Timm is Senior/Lead Pastor of Olivet Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sylvania, Ohio. Prior to that, she served as Associate Pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, both in Toledo, Ohio. She received an M.Div. from Trinity Lutheran Seminary and a B.A. in Japanese Language and Literatures from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.

Chrysanne lives in Sylvania with her husband, Craig. They have one daughter, Holly, and two sons, Matthew and Brian. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with family and friends, reading, knitting, antique shopping, boating, and Taekwon-Do (she is a first-degree Black Belt).

David M. Beare

Ministry Operations Manager

David M. Beare joined Church Doctor Ministries in December 2014 as the Ministry Operations Manager. He comes to us from Trinity Church United Methodist in Kendallville, IN where he was Discipleship Coordinator and Business Manager. After graduating from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Dave held several Engineering posts until being transferred to Detroit as the original Wiring Engineer for Saturn cars.  Later, he was named Engineering Group Manager for GM’s Small Car Group and then North American Automotive Sales Manager for Delphi Connections System after Delphi was spun off from GM. His final position before retiring from Delphi in 2008 (after 38 years) was the Wiring Program Manager for Toyota. He then went to work at his Church in Clarkston, MI as unpaid staff coordinating their “Growth Groups” Ministry.  As he puts it: “You can retire from your day job, but I believe we are called to do God’s work until He takes us home.”

Upon moving to Kendallville in 2010 with his wife Rhonda, Dave was soon working at Trinity Church as their Financial Secretary.  He has also served on the Board of Directors at Life and Family Services, a Christian based, pregnancy center in Kendallville.

Dave describes himself as a “numbers guy” and has taught both Crown Financial Study and Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University at various Churches and Chain O’ Lakes Correctional Facility.  Dave is also a Certified Counselor through Dave Ramsey and enjoys helping people get out of debt and provide hope using biblical principles. Rhonda and Dave have 3 grown children but no grandchildren yet!  Dave enjoys camping, boating, fishing, snow shoeing, and researching his genealogy in his spare time

Whitley Snyder

Whitley Snyder is the Marketing and Event Planning Team Leader with the Church Doctor Ministries Team. She graduated with a degree in Legal Studies with hopes of going Law School, but God called lead her in a different direction and was called into ministry.

Whitley resides in Fort Wayne, IN with her husband Josh and their two girls. Whitley is involved in the Women’s Ministries at her church and active in their Marriage Groups. In her free time Whitley enjoys reading, writing, singing karaoke with her husband, watching her daughters explore and grow, playing games and spending time with her family and friends.

Jason Atkinson

Jason Atkinson joined the Church Doctor Ministries team in October 2005 and serves as the  Ministry Leadership Support, and Assistant to Founder.  A few of his roles are coordinating ministry consultations and coaching services, survey scoring, data analysis, and videography. Prior to serving with Church Doctor Ministries, Jason graduated from Huntington University with a B.A. in Mass Communication.

In his spare time, he is an active member and serves on a worship team at his church, St. Joseph UMC, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In addition to that, he enjoys reading legal thrillers, hiking, traveling, and enjoys spending time with his family. Jason has been married to his wife Laura since 2004 and they have two daughters. 

Wendy Kratzman

Wendy Kratzman came to Church Doctor Ministries in August 2016 after 17 years in the medical field. She graduated from International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and has a lifetime of customer service experience. She now serves as Office Assistant and Assistant To the Leader.

In the past, Wendy has served as a youth group co-leader and as a Sunday school teacher. Her two children now keep her busy with their academic and extracurricular activities. She and her kids have been adopted by five rescue pets: one Pitbull/ Boxer dog, one cat, and three parakeets. In her spare time, Wendy enjoys reading and swimming, camping, hiking, and playing board games with her kids

John Wargowsky

John Wargowsky serves as the Marketing Team Leader for Church Doctor Ministries and lives in Marion, Ohio. He recently completed five years as lay leader of communication efforts with the Delaware City Vineyard church plant and serves in Prison Outreach Ministries that goes into Ohio prisons.

He has called square dances and led line, round, folk and novelty dances for 35 years. He was born and reared on the family farm in north central Ohio with 30 years of experience in agricultural associations. 

Matt Genszler

Chris Blair is the Graphic Designer with a background in full-time, paid ministry. He is the remote person behind our designs who helps us visually communicate what he calls “the awesome inside of us!” With an accounting undergraduate degree and a Master of Divinity degree, Chris definitely adds a unique flavor to our creative team.

Chris serves at The Branch Church in Carrollton, Texas, in a variety of ways. Beyond being part of the kitchen crew, he helps the creative team as a graphic designer. He also leads and trains short-term mission teams that go around the globe with an organization called Let’s Start Talking.

He and his wife, Meagan, live in Glenn Heights, Texas, and have seven children who definitely keep them busy. As an entrepreneur, Chris spends most of his free time planning new ways to help people live fully alive as disciples of Jesus. Besides that, he loves to swim, play chess, and read. Oh — and he says the word “awesome” a little too much.

Matt Genszler serves the Church Doctor Ministries Team in the role of Marketing and Analytics Team Lead and is a great asset to our team. He graduated a 3-year accelerated program from Grace college with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.

Moving frequently as a child to and from four different states, he currently resides in Fort Wayne, IN. Matt has a strong rooted faith that started as a child and has grown deeper as he watched and admired his father become a pastor in 2016.

While in his free time Matt loves watching and playing sports, especially soccer. Spending time with his family and friends playing board and card games, hiking, and watching movies is also another favorite of his. Matt especially enjoys the Star Wars franchise where he collects memorabilia and can quote the movies.

Jonathan Hunter

Jonathan Hunter joined the Church Doctor Ministry staff in November 2015 as SEND North America’s Mission and Discipleship Coordinator. Jon and his wife, Esther, most recently served as missionaries to Malaysia serving as teachers in an international school and assisting with a church plant in Kuala Lumpur. Jon and Esther previously served in ministry in England.
